Vintage Find & Art

I was thrilled to find this guillotine at our thrift store, I've always wanted one of these old ones and to find one that actually cuts YEAH! I thought it was a perfect background for my recent work(play), mostly ink and watercolour with some crayon and embroidery.

This is summer exploding on a page from a old Chinese book.

Flowers from the garden, 'Lilies of the Valley' ( done blooming now) Bachelor Buttons , Yarrow and Chamomile (blooming now.) Painted on old book pages.

This was a left over from the folding paper post. It is folded just like you would to make a box then undone & painted. I went on to add some collage and embroidery...I absolutely loved the embroidery on paper, it adds so much.

Some close ups.
