Grape Heaven

Dan's photo
The grapes have turned purple and we have a bumper crop this year. I'm sure the early warm summer had something to do with that. When I was visiting my dear friend Julie a few weeks ago she shared with me her recipe for grape jam . It sounded easy and she said her's tasted real good , so I decided to give it a go.

Oh what a beautiful color! The grapes about to be boiled with a little water.

Who would have guessed that making grape jam was so rewarding to the senses.   While picking them a few landed in my mouth, it is great fun to pop the warm thick purple skin and have this outrageous burst of flavor melt in your mouth .  The color is so exciting (more on that in a future post) and the smell of cooking grapes is HEAVENLY good. And of course  when it is all done you have this sweet jam to eat!

  1. Love it on toast as my desert after dinner!!

  2. Nous avons fait de la confiture de myrtilles cette année.
Elle a un goût parfait :-) Je ne connais pas celle de raisins, je vais essayer, merci.
Je vous souhaite la bienvenue sur "La vie est belle" Cathy.
