Maintaining Sanity

I'm not complaining, but it couldn't have come at a worst time. I took off a month from work, 3 weeks to care for my grandkids while their parents were away on holiday oversea, and 1 week to work just on my art. Halfway in I fall and sprain my foot quite badly! I've been on crutches every since and trying to maintain my sanity while the foot is up and healing. It is killing me ... now is the best time for me to be in my attic studio(having waited through freezing jan, feb, and march to get up there) before it gets too hot and all I can do is sit, sit , and sit.
To past the time I made some more progress on the owl tapestry which I'm sure I will finish before I die and  doodling again.

  1. These are fascinating drawings - I love the shapes and the large white negative spaces between the intense black.

  2. Thank you, that is what I like about them too. When I am drawing them it is the negative space that I am working with, and what the line does to the negative space is what intrigues me. It is very mediative for me.

I appreciate your comments, thank you for taking the time.
