Healing Arts Exhibition

I am so proud to be a part of the Healing Arts Exhibition. From personal experience I know how art making and viewing is a source of healing and well being. It is nice to know that Hospitals and other business are picking up on this human need to have living, breathing art ( made by a human) in there environment.

Working with all this color gives me great pleasure. For this series of work I was definitely exploring the pink. To me it is in between , neither simple like white (which is funny to say because white is not simple at all, but has the appearance of being simple) nor charged as red. It is in between free to be what ever it wishes that day, warm and inviting, shocking, brilliant,  soft and fussy. I like that freedom.

October/Fleeting Impressions

I know it has been a while since my last post...in my defense I have been busy:)

This baby sold at the opening reception. I am always happy for a sale, but some are harder to part with then others, this one is case in point. I am glad it's owner will cherish it.

This show include two textile pieces, which were such a joy to create. Working with fabric and thread is like coming home. Tactile love and comfort....so therapeutic for me.
